Convoys¶

A convoy brings its valuables down the road with a substantial opinion about keeping them. Advance notices, map information and carried-device reports help you find it. The ordinary automatic schedule is about two Rust game days between events.
Know what you are stopping¶
Gemstones are placed once in the convoy cargo, not paid separately to every participant.
Cargo access is blocked by a moving convoy, surviving convoy guards. Any remaining defenders can still make a crate dangerous.
Destroying a cargo vehicle loses 50% of its loot under the current settings.
| Map name | Difficulty | Guaranteed shared cargo |
|---|---|---|
| Black Cube Forward Transit | Easy | 5 Gemstones |
| Black Cube Recovery Column | Medium | 10 Gemstones |
| Black Cube Asset Denial | Hard | 25 Gemstones |
| Black Cube Null Manifest | Nightmare | 50 Gemstones |
Gems are placed once in shared cargo. That number is not a separate payout to every participant. Vehicles, guards, armor and aircraft vary by column; look at what arrived rather than charging the first car you recognize.
Stop, fight, inspect¶
Accepted attacks can stop the convoy and make it aggressive. The stop/aggression interval is 80 seconds, and a stopped convoy remains hostile. Choose cover outside the road before starting. Guards may dismount, while mounted weapons and supporting forces can attack from other angles.
Cargo cannot be looted while the convoy is moving or its NPC guards remain alive. A surviving Bradley or helicopter is not itself a required cargo lock. Physical loot doors can still need breaching. Read the response when a container refuses access.
Destroying a cargo vehicle drops its loot with 50% loss. Preserve the vehicle when you want its whole shipment. Destroyed turret inventories are not additional rewards.
Sharing the operation¶
This event does not grant exclusive ownership to the first attacker, and it does not automatically create a player-PvP zone. Ordinary island protection rules remain. Actual combat, an accepted crate hack or opening event cargo can qualify participation; standing near the road does not.
A bonded Dire Wolf needs its owner to land an accepted damaging hit before convoy combat is authorized for that owner. Another player's attack does not enlist it automatically.
Loot and departure¶
The encounter HUD reports time, guards and unlooted crates. Opening all event crates completes the convoy's cargo condition; emptying every slot is not required. A normal five-minute closing delay follows. Check the remaining cargo before the event leaves, and use the map/device messages rather than assuming a quiet vehicle is permanent storage.
